Club News

Club News :

The Board is prioritizing a list of projects to be completed over the next several years. Some of these projects, such as tennis court resurfacing and fencing, pool cover and deck work will be costly but are necessary in keeping our Club in excellent shape.

Helpin’ Round the House!

Please keep a few things in mind as you enjoy the summer of 2018:

  • Let’s be safe at all times; LISTEN to the lifeguards, and respect their authority.
  • Pick up your trash and keep restrooms neat
  • No diapers in the big pool
  • Respect others and their property wherever you are.
  • Remind your children the tennis courts are for tennis only. They may play behind the pool in the volleyball area.

City Works
The City will be changing out pumps in the lift station down by the tennis courts. The old were not big enough and were worn out causing a serious sewerage issue. They will also be adding a valve building, working on some of the water lines and reworking electrical lines..

Membership Spot Checks:
Board members and lifeguards will be spot checking memberships while you are on Member only private property. You may be asked for a picture ID so please have this available if necessary. This is not being done to aggravate you but to keep non paying folks out so the paying folks can better enjoy the facilities. Please make sure that your renewal is up to date and that we have your correct email address

Want to have a party at the Club? You can rent the upper deck for only a $50 fee with an additional $5 for each non-member in the party. Call Kim Smith at 463-5506 to reserve the Upperdeck for your next event.. Plan ahead because the upper deck is a popular party place!

Just a few friendly reminders:
•NO GLASS CONTAINERS of any kind are allowed inside the fenced areas of the pool or tennis courts! This includes bottles, jars, plates, dishes, etc.
•NO SMOKING inside the fenced areas.
•Please remind your children to help keep things clean -- like the bathrooms and all of the areas around the tables.
•Please try to keep the lids on the trash can to keep the flies away!
•We do not pay the lifeguards to clean up after us. It is our responsibility as members to make sure we maintain an attractive and clean club.

Swimming Lessons:

Swim lessons are offered to Members and Non-members during our summer operation hours. For more information please call the pool at 803-796-4446  talk to a lifeguard or leave a message for more information on lessons. You can also use the Contact Us form on the website.

Pool Security:
The QHSRC is all about and for the exclusive use of our members and guests. Please notify lifeguards and/or board members of any suspicious activity or unauthorized use of tennis courts, pool, and parking lot.
The Saluda River is a very popular place, and we are very fortunate to have such a wonderful backdrop for our club.
We will be towing cars again this year if we have to. If you receive a notice in error, please let the lifeguard know ASAP so we can make a note of your vehicle and plate number. We will continue to use the QH stickers but have not ordered new ones for 2018 as there are still too many that were not picked up.
